Day 2

At Breakfast we made the decision to hire a car... se always said before we came that we wanted a car for a day or two... and now that the weather was not great we took this as the green light to get a car...

They had car hire at the hotel in the morning between 09:00 - 10:00

Asked what was available and if we could have 2 days... there was only 1 car available for the 1 day
So that was it... we asked for a larger car and got a BMW 7 person car... it was not cleaned from the last hire so it was a little sandy but nothing to worry about... we got it for a cheaper price.

We got our things together and set off for the day.

Asking at the Hotel what was the best to see in a single day in a car and we had 3 things in mind:

A visit to the caves

A visit to a market

A visit to the East coast

Our first stop of  the day was to "Cuevas Del Drach"

The caves were open in groups so that they could control the amount of people down there... but even with this there were far to many people down there... We were in the first group of the day at 11:00 and from the start to the finish we were all just pushed along with the flow... unable to stop for even a minute...

The caves were very beautiful and the water so pure and close to the end of the caves everyone is treated to a very moving classical music concert on the water... the music in the caves was a one off sound...

Our next stop was a market in the town of Sineu

The drive was nice... relaxing country roads

We found the center of the town and the market without any problems... We parked the car and went for a walk...

A very nice town.

The last planned stop was to see the east coast just below Alcúdia... We found a point on the cars map and headed over...

I think that the place was called "Can Picafort"

We parked up and walked over to the beach... This was what I was hoping for from Mallorca...

This was the place to be... Beautiful beach, sea and views

We stopped off here for an hour or so... we sat at the Beach bar while the kids enjoyed the sea. They loved the water and spent the whole time jumping in the waves...

The way back to the hotel we took as much of the coast as we could... The drive back was really nice and we stopped off at many locations just to take a quick look...
