Day 1

Early start - up at around 04:00 and to the airport ready for the 07:00 flight... All went to plan & kids were really good.

Flight was fine and only 3.5 hours

Emil was a little upset as he was so excited and this made him not feel too good but by the time we landed all was ok and everyone was ready for the week ahead :)

We landed and the weather was gloomy with a little rain... Not a great start.

The bus to the hotel was about 50 minutes so a little time to relax and see Mallorca.

Mallorca did not look a great place on first sight... due to the rain, low temperature (20-22) and run down nature of the towns and buildings on the way...

When we got to the hotel and found our room things looked a little better as the room was nice and clean with views over the pool and sea.

A large apartment with 2 bedrooms, living area, kitchen area and 2 bathrooms - we had chosen the apartment in the main part of the hotel so that it would be easy to eat with the kids... living in the other parts of the hotel would have been a problem when the kids were tired at meal times.

We spent the rest of the day just relaxing and the kids and I took a short walk down to the sea to check out the coast line... to try to get a better first day impression of the island but it did not make it better...

The beach was not to be used and was very dirty and smelly

We ended the long day looking forward to better days...
